Changes in the Environment section

We’ve made a few small changes in the Environment section of the administration panel, in anticipation of larger changes to come:

  • PHP 4 is now handled just like another PHP version, not separately from PHP 5/7.
  • Django and Ruby on Rails are no longer part of the environment. Our clients are expected to install their own version of Django and Ruby on rails in their own account, using standard tools (e.g. pip and gem).

Nothing changes for existing clients. Their environment remains unmodified and PHP 4, Django and Ruby on Rails continue to work as before.

Also note that when accessing the PHP environment over our API, keys ‘php5_version’ and ‘php5_ini_raw’ have been renamed to ‘php_version’ and ‘php_ini’.
