New offers, new website
Important changes today with an update to our offers and to accompany it, a redesign of our website. Here’s the list of all notable changes.
Naming
Free / Plus: these are the offers on our Public Cloud
Max: Private Cloud for guaranteed performance
Pricing
The floor price (not counting the Free offer) is now €5 excl. tax/month
Plus (Public Cloud): the first 30 days are free for each new registration
Disk space
Free: the free offer now provides 1 GB of disk space (versus 100 MB previously)
Plus: the different packages have all been boosted in terms of disk space (50 GB for the €5 package)
Limitations
Each offer now has precise limits in memory and CPU, as well as a number of backup days included (until now the Public Cloud offered the same limitations regardless of the chosen package)
The free offer no longer allows the use of a custom domain for websites (only the provided alwaysdata.net address)

Account Renaming
It is now possible to rename an account.
This feature can be accessed in the Subscriptions (for Public Cloud accounts) or Accounts (for Private Cloud accounts) sections via the Rename button.
Be careful, this changes many elements, and configuration changes will likely need to be made in your applications.

Importing a Remote Mailbox
You can now import the contents of a remote mailbox, meaning you can copy all its messages and folders.
This feature is available via the Import Emails button on the configuration page of a mailbox, in the alwaysdata administration.

Mail autoconfiguration is now supported
Both Outlook and Thunderbird autoconfiguration protocols are now supported.
That means configuring a new mailbox in most email clients will be much easier as server addresses and configuration will be automatically detected: only the email address and password are required.

Private Cloud: base configuration at 32 GB (RAM)
The basic configurations of dedicated servers are changing to 32 GB (RAM) instead of 16 GB, without any price change. The tiers are now 64 GB, 96 GB, and 128 GB. Prices can be viewed on our website or in our documentation.

Private cloud: Open or close the ports of your various services with one click
Whatever the service (databases, SSH, FTP, emails, etc.), go to the Firewall > Services menu of your server.
It is therefore no longer necessary to create filtering rules. If rules are created, they take precedence over this feature.

Consumption graphs
Consumption graphs are now available for Private Cloud (VPS and dedicated servers) from the Usage > Graphs menu of your server. The available metrics (CPU, memory, disk, and network) display the server’s overall usage during the selected period.
